Hello everyone, my name is Nathan Orr. I am currently a Senior at Michigan State University, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Storytelling, with a concentration in Filmmaking. Additionally, I've completed two years at Eastern Michigan University. I have over six years of personal experience utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop to edit videos and images, and around a year of experience in videography, utilizing professional equipment and techniques to produce said videos. The world of film has many other facets though, and I plan to stop at nothing to cover all the bases. Audio production, screenwriting, film history, multicam, and so on. During my time spent at Michigan State University so far, I have done nothing but improve.
This portfolio is what I’d refer to as a master collection of my absolute best work so far, whether it be personal projects, school assignments, or paid work for others.

This is the latest series I have ongoing, and to sum it up in as few words possible, I just take any fun ideas I want to do, and turn them into a reality.
Commentary videos going over a certain topic, vlogs where my friends and I just hang out and have fun, short films, all of this and more is possible here, I don’t want to be constrained to just one thing. What I do want, is to stretch the boundaries of my creative prowess, and see what comes out. And so far, what has come out, are the videos I personally am most proud of compared to anything I’ve ever made.

In 2012, the YouTuber “PeanutButterGamer” created a series on his gameplay channel known as “Hardcore,” where him along with a few friends played through a game with a set goal to complete. The twist was, if you died in the game, you’d be out of the series forever, not allowed to even speak again. Thousands of fan-made seasons have been produced, and this is one of them.
In late 2018, I joined an online community of people who liked to make these fan-made hardcores, and wanted in. Little did I know, this would jumpstart the passion in video I have today, and from then until late 2023, that’s all I really did. Below, I have the latest three seasons of Nyfencore up, as I see those to be the highest of quality.

Everything I’ve either made, or just had a part in, that doesn’t fit into any of the other categories, goes right here. Also, it has to be good enough too, there needs to be some quality assurance. There would be hundreds of videos here if it weren’t for that.

For a few months over the summer of 2024, I worked with the YouTuber “InvaderWist,” an online acquaintance of mine, editing all his videos. In this process, I had to match his established style, and get one video done each week. During my time editing for him, his subscriber count rose by over 10,000, and one of the videos I made for him managed to climb to over 450,000 views. Unfortunately, school got in the way of me continuing to work for him by September, and I was forced to mutually resign.
Soon after that, my Dad mentioned to me that a colleague of his at work named Jeff was looking for someone to help edit the YouTube videos he was making on the side. I gladly accepted the offer, and since then, I’ve been editing videos for the YouTuber “BKNOFF Broncos” as often as he gives me work to do.
As a whole, working for both Wist and Jeff has helped me expand my set of skills further than it already was by a ton. Below is a playlist of all the videos I’ve edited for other people, which you can bet it’ll continue to grow in the future.
